Unpluggd all White logo

Did someone say an ALL WHITE PARTY? yep, Unpluggd one of the most sophisticated, chic and up-market event in Soweto has unplugged their wires and everything turned white. White is the theme of this month and with spring around the corner what a better way to welcome the season and their calling it 'White Out'.

This is one of the best exclusive event I have ever attended, where glitz meets glamour. With its mounting number of attendees, Unpluggd had to change its venues three (3) time to accommodate everyone. Ray Ban, HenneseyMoet and Belverdere are the proud sponsors of this event.

On a Daayzie note: less is sometimes more-there is something interesting that I found about Unpluggd, they only use their Facebook page an emails to reach to their masses and they are doing it so well. With over 1 025 likes and attracting more than 55% attendees. For us PRP's we are advised to use all platforms to reach our target audience.

Applause to the PRP's of Unpluggd for using methods that really work for them and this shows that word of mouth still has huge impact on people's minds because a friend of mine recommend that we attend. On that note, a great way of promoting the above brands because that is one of the signatures of Unpluggd. And what better way to lure people to an event without a reward, you get freebie if you are seen to be the best dressed according to the theme. So if you looking to mingle, listen to great music and have a good time in Soweto, you now know where to go.

    1. hahaha do not and act smart, I sent you an email thats why you got here this fast.

Yes, word of mouth as continued to be the best in the market. 95% of consumer mainly buy good and services based on what other are saying about the brand rather than what the brand itself says, so trust me, unpluggd is the place to be.

  3. I agree to an extent that word of mouth can be quiet effective. But given the rather fickle nature of customers (always changing their minds, deciding to go or not to go to an event at the last minute), how well can Pr Practitioners rely on this method of communication?

Wouldn't other methods be just as effective or even better at gathering an even bigger crowd? Granted...wrd of mouth does have its advantages, but since we're living in the information age, it would seem more plausible engage with customers....Given that word of mouth is not 100% accurate and a message can change or be misunderstood throughout the communication process.

    1. Granted, word of mouth is not always effective and this post wasn't saying that but more to say that sometime you sont really need to stratch you budget to effectively communicate with people.

Unpluggd for one only uses facebook ad word of mouth to reach to their masses and its working for them, they dont have website or twitter pages but their growing.

  7. Word-of-mouth will never go out of fashion - well, according to me atleast. It is the cheapest and most convenient and frequent way to pass on news about upcoming events.
